Dear Members,

On behalf of the British-Luxembourg Society, you are warmly invited to
attend the Annual General Meeting, to be held on Monday, 16 March 2026 at
18:30, at the premises of LALUX Assurances, 11–13, rue Jean Fischbach,
L-3372 Leudelange.

Parking is available on site for members travelling by car.

The Meeting will be convened in accordance with the Society’s statutes. The
proposed agenda includes approval of the Society’s accounts and budget,
appointment of an independent auditor, and election of Council members to
serve until the 2027 AGM (see attached notice for details). The draft
annual accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, together with the
proposed budget for 2026, will be posted in the members-only area of our
website (www.b-l-s.lu) in advance of the Meeting

Your participation matters. The Annual General Meeting is the moment when
members actively shape the life, direction, and governance of the Society.

We will also have a short talk by Hubert Wurth, titled ‘Do not belittle
the little, and don’t admire big’ An exploration of how a ‘little’
country built its strength through words and continues to do so. Hubert
Wurth, our Patron, is a distinguished Luxembourgish diplomat, artist, and
public figure. His distinguished career includes ambassadorial postings in
the Soviet Union, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, and Austria,
as well as representation to international bodies such as the UN, OECD,
UNESCO, and OSCE.

After serving three years as President, following three years as General
Secretary, I will be stepping down from the Council, and I hope you can
join me in welcoming the (re)newly elected Council and Officers. I will be
staying closely tied to the British-Luxembourg community through my Council
Membership of the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg and as the new
Board Member of the Business Club – Luxembourg United Kingdom
https://www.bcluk.uk/, an initiative set up by the Luxembourg Chamber of
Commerce and the Luxembourg Embassy in London.

Proxy Representation (Important)

If you are unable to attend the Meeting in person, you may be represented
by proxy.

Members wishing to appoint a proxy are kindly requested to contact the
General Secretary, Alexander Ludbrook-Miles, at
alexander.ludbrook-miles@stonehagefleming.com , with the completed and
signed proxy form attached hereto. Alexander will be happy to assist with
any questions or procedural details.

After the Meeting

Once the Meeting concludes, you are warmly invited to remain for a relaxed
moment to connect with fellow BLS members and continue conversations
informally, while enjoying excellent catering generously provided by our
host and the beautiful conference facilities of LALUX, including access to
its art collection.

We are most grateful to LALUX Assurances for kindly hosting the Meeting and
for their continued support of the Society.

We very much hope to welcome you in person on 16 March and, whether present
or represented by proxy, to count on your participation in the Society’s
future.

Kind regards,

Darren Robinson
