Dear Members
For organisational reasons, we are unable to arrange for the Annual General Meeting of the Society to take place on the first Sunday of March, as required by the Articles of Association.
We are instead organising our Annual General Meeting as an Ordinary General Meeting held extraordinarily on Monday 4 March 2024 at 18:30 CET (the Meeting).
Please find attached the convening notice for the Meeting. The draft annual accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, together with the proposed budget for 2024, will be posted in the members-only area of our website (www.b-l-s.lu) in advance of the Meeting.
LALUX Assurances have generously offered to host us at their offices at La Luxembourgeoise,
11-13, rue Jean Fischbach, L-3372 Leudelange.
Election to the Council
The Meeting represents an opportunity for new candidates to be elected to the Council. We are always looking to expand the Council with additional volunteers, whose ideas, time and energy the Society is perennially in need. We have a small number of casual vacancies at the time of writing.
We would be grateful if you would contact me by email at president@b-l-s.lu on or before 1 March 2024 should you be interested in joining the Council.
