This course is designed to improve students’ oral and written skills in the English language and this includes accessible literary materials, short stories, poems etc.
Classes are centred around current affairs, social issues, citizenship and other topics of mutual interest. Traditionally most students are from Luxembourg but we are broadening our horizons and have recently welcomed students from Syria and Iraq.
Classes normally follow a traditional PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) structure preceded by a fun warm-up activity. The students engage in conversations, debates and other interactive activities.
The classes aim to give the students as much opportunity as possible to speak about subjects that pertain to daily life, their community and the world at large.
The hope is that students feel inspired by sharing their experiences through the medium of English!
