This is a course which appeals to all those interested in science whether professionally or as a hobby interest.
Education in English in Luxembourg is developing hugely and many teachers of science whose native language is not English see opportunities in this country to teach their subject through the medium of English. This course is ideal for them.
Similarly Luxembourg students and students of other nationalities who are seriously contemplating studying the subject at university level in the UK or the US (or elsewhere - English is generally accepted as being the “Language of Science”) would welcome this opportunity to acquaint themselves with the register they need to pursue their studies aboard.
And then there are those who simply love Science, have a good working knowledge of English and relish the opportunity to discuss their interest with like-minded students.
The course features specialist vocabulary exercises and diverse scientific topics, including data analysis with graphs and writing up the methodology of experiments. Reference is often made to articles in specialist magazines such as the Scientific American and Nature.
The courses take place at the back of the school in the white building at the end of the car park.
The car park is accessed from Avenue Pasteur.
